Nate Brown joined News Channel 3 as a sports anchor and reporter in August 2022.
Nate comes to the Mitten State from the Cornhusker State, where he worked as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for NTV in Kearney for over three-and-a-half years. Prior to that, he worked for FOX61 in Hartford as a sports producer and multimedia journalist.
A Middletown, Connecticut native, Nate grew up with a passion for playing sports that was only matched by his inability to stop talking. Upon realizing he was a much better benchwarmer than anything remotely close to a stellar athlete, he decided to combine the two and enter the world of sports media instead.
Following his time at Springfield College, Nate’s had plenty of wonderful experiences in the industry, such as covering the WNBA, PGA, and being surrounded by 90,000 diehard fans at Memorial Stadium for Husker games. It’s also given him some rather unique ones, too, like covering six-man football, traveling to different time zones to report on high school playoff games, and accidentally inhaling bugs on live TV.
In his free time, you can find Nate constantly attempting to fix his broken jump shot, singing an absurd amount of outdated Top 40 hits, and trying as many local restaurants as he can find. If you have any story ideas, or just want to say “hi”, you can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
