WMU wide receiver Jayden Reed named FWAA Freshman All-American

WMU wide receiver Jayden Reed returns a punt 93 yards for a touchdown against Delaware State, WWMT, Luke Edwards

Freshman wide out Jayden Reed began his career at WMU on a high note after being selected as a Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-American.

Reed becomes the fourth Bronco to earn those honors joining Corey Davis, Darius Phillips and Jamie Wilson. Reed hauled in 56 receptions for 797 yards and eight touchdowns. In addition to his receiving stats, he also returned a 93-yard punt for a touchdown against Delaware State.

The freshman joined elite Bronco receiver company by tying WMU Hall of Famer and Super Bowl XLV champion Greg Jennings with four touchdown catches in a game against Miami.
