WMU hockey celebrates a goal, file, WWMT

Western Michigan hockey rolled the right dice at the Ice Vegas Invitational picking up wins over UConn and Air Force to win the 2nd annual event.

Luke Bafia and Lawton Courtnall earned all-tournament honors, while netminder Trevor Gorsuch was name tournament MVP after allowing just two goals in two games.

The Broncos moved up in the USCHO rankings claiming the 14th spot. WMU will return to Lawson Arena for a weekend series against NCHC rival Miami on Friday and Saturday.
