Former Hackett Catholic athlete wins pair of national awards
PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) —
Hope Baldwin, a former Hackett Catholic standout, is currently taking neuro-science classes at Notre Dame, and said she may also take some engineering classes.
If that's not impressive enough, Baldwin was also recently honored with a pair of prestigious, national high school awards.
Baldwin was announced as the winner of the 2016-2017 Student-Athlete Scholarship Program and as the female winner of the Wooden Cup award, which is presented annually by the Athletes for a Better World Association.
Baldwin, who played soccer, volleyball and basketball for the Hackett Irish, was the 2017 Hackett Valedictorian and has a long list of community service accomplishments.
She spent her spring break in 2017 helping to refurbish a Florida grade school.
