Broken pipes flood Breslin Center concourse, but facility will be ready for Friday's game

The cold weather is causing major problems inside Michigan State University's Breslin Center.

A project engineer said a frozen pipe in the sprinkler line burst, causing pools of water to form in bathrooms and concession areas.

The 3-inch line burst Wednesday.

Luckily, the basketball court that is home to the Spartans remained dry.

Officials say the damage is considered minor.

Crews are working replace drywall, light fixtures and ceiling panels.
