President Donald Trump is criticizing hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, saying the government can't keep federal aid there forever.

The president made the comments in a series of tweets earlier Thursday morning.

The House of Representatives is on track to back President Trump's request for billions more in disaster aid to pay flood insurance claims and emergency funding.

Hurricane Maria struck the United States territory September 20.

The storm killed at least 45 people, and about 85 percent of Puerto Rico residents still don't have electricity.
