Investigators continue search for Pike County, Ohio shooting suspect
PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We're learning new information about the murders of eight family members in southern Ohio, as police continue to search for their killer or killers.
Investigators now confirm it's possible a Mexican drug cartel is behind the murders.
An autopsy reveals most of the victims were shot multiple times.
Police say the family had a large marijuana grow operation, with hundreds of plants.
More than 60 people have been interviewed in the four days since the murders.
Isaiah Jones says he was detained at gunpoint during a traffic stop.
"I really want people to know I really had nothing to do with it and that these were also friends of mine," he said.
Jones was questioned for six hours, and then released.
The Pike County Sheriff says with four different crime scenes, it's possible there is more than one killer.
Police say they'll continue to follow leads until the people responsible are brought to justice.
