Consumer Reports releases list of top sunscreens as summer hides around the corner
Now that the weather is heating up, more people are heading outside to enjoy the Michigan sunshine. In an effort to spread awareness and help those indulging in the sun’s rays, Consumer Reports is out with its top sunscreens of the year.
The report rates 73 lotions, sprays and sticks for how effective and accurate their SPF label is.
Here’s a list of the top four sunscreens of the year:
- La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 60 melt-in sunscreen milk
- Equate Sport Lotion SPF 50.
- Bullfrog Land Sport Quik Gel SPF 50.
- Coppertone Waterbabies SPF 50 lotion.
The report found of the products tested, 24 were found to have less than half of the protection of their SPF number. For a full listing of and to read the report, click here.
