BANGOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A West Michigan woman turned the tables on a man who broke into her home.
The woman tells us when the man entered her home, he found himself staring down the barrel of a shotgun.
28 year old William Brewer was arraigned Monday on felony charges of breaking and entering and assault.
Police say he broke into a home in Bangor Friday evening, while the homeowner and three other people were inside.
Joanne Borsodi says she heard several noises outside, and then while three of them went outside to check it out, the suspect, entered the house where he was confronted by her boyfriend, who was armed with a shotgun.
"I grabbed the gun and told him to get out of the house," she said. "If someone wasn't in the house, he could have snuck...he could have killed us."
Borsodi held the suspect at gunpoint till police arrived.
"Their actions protected them, and also helped us in apprehending the suspect," said Tommy Simpson, with Bangor Police.
Brewer is being held on $75,000 bond.
