KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Anyone traveling through Mattawan or Paw Paw on Thursday morning likely experienced a slow commute.
A Van Buren house was moved from Mattawan, just north of Interstte 94, to Paw Paw on County Road 665.
Van Buren County deputies said the moved was scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
Due to the size of the home, the entire roadway, including both lanes of traffic, was inaccessible to all other vehicles.
The areas of impact in Mattawan were North Main Street, 24th street and the Red Arrow Highway.
Officials said they expected the home to reach the Eastern Village Limit of Paw Paw around 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. depending on road conditions.
