Two wanted men arrested in gun, drug bust in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A traffic stop led to a gun and drug bust for two wanted men in Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo Public Safety said around 3 a.m. Wednesday, they tried to stop a car for a traffic violation near Stuart and Conant Streets.

During the traffic stop, police said they discovered the driver and passenger had multiple warrants out for their arrest. They also said they found cocaine and marijuana on the passenger, as well as a loaded pistol inside the car that was reported stolen out of the Battle Creek area.

Officers took the suspects into custody without incident.

The passenger was identified as a 23-year-old man. He was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, drug charges and multiple warrants.
