OSHTEMO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two people are facing charges after a drug bust in Kalamazoo County.

It happened at 9 p.m. Tuesday at East Main Street and 9th Street in Oshtemo Township.

The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) tells Newschannel 3 undercover detectives spotted two suspicious vehicles in a parking lot in that area. Detectives say they then saw what appeared to be a drug deal.

When uniformed Michigan State Police troopers arrived, they stopped the car. Inside, a Kalamazoo Public Safety K9 found a baggie with crystal meth inside, along with evidence the suspects were using meth inside the vehicle. Also inside the car was a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

A man who was driving the car was arrested for possession with intent to deliver meth and possession of a weapon during a crime. A woman riding in the car was arrested on outstanding warrants, and a second female passenger was released.
