Trial to begin for man accused of raping young sisters

William Wolter is schedule to head to trial Tuesday in Calhoun County. He is accused of raping two sisters more than a year ago.

CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The trial begins Tuesday for a Calhoun County man accused of raping two young sisters.

William Wolter, 42, is charged with multiple counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.

Those charges stem from an investigation that began in August 2016.

The Calhoun County Sheriff tells us Wolter gave the then-12-year-old and 15-year-old girls alcohol and drugs in exchange for sex.

Investigators say Wolter is not related to the children, but a friend of his knows the girls' mother.

His trial is expected to begin Tuesday.
