The first round of top 20 finalists were released for ArtPrize 10.

The first list is the juried category list. Four jurors selected five artists in the categories of 2D, 3D, Installation and Time-Based.

The second top 20 are determined by a public vote, which will be announced on Sept. 30. The first round of public voting will continue until 11:59 p.m. Sept. 29.

The top 40 will be in the running for the two $200,000 grand prize awards and $100,000 category award.

“The ArtPrize jurors each lend a unique perspective to the event, elevating works from among this years’ entrants that are collectively stunning and challenging,” Kevin Buist, ArtPrize Artistic Director, said in a release. “As Round 1 of the public vote continues, these nominees will encourage visitors to look more deeply at the range of entries spread across ArtPrize 10.”
