Three Rivers police notify public to be aware after two suspicious situations

The Three Rivers Police Department is asking the public to be on alert after responding to two suspicious situations.

Newschannel 3 was notified that one event first happened on Sunday on the River Trail when a woman told officers she saw a man on a bench playing with a knife with a baby stroller next to him.

Officials claim he asked the woman if he wanted to see the child; she said no. Police say he then followed her to Skidmore Park.

They say he then got into a black Dodge pickup truck and continued to follow her to South Lincoln Avenue and South Street. Officers searched the area but didn't find him.

Police say three days later they responded to another suspicious situation at the Walgreens in Three Rivers.

Police say a woman was approached by a man who tried to get her into a parked vehicle behind the OReilly’s Auto Parts store. He told her that a sheriff was in the car.

Again, officers weren't able to find the suspect.

If you have any information, officials implore you to call Three Rivers police right away.
