Three Kalamazoo men arrested after police find guns during traffic stop


    KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Three people were arrested Thursday night after police said they found handguns during a traffic stop.

    Kalamazoo Public Safety said they were doing surveillance in the Fox Ridge Apartment Complex when they spotted suspects with guns getting into a car. The officers pulled them over, and detained all four people inside.

    Police said they found a handgun at the feet of one of the people inside the car, and a second, loaded handgun on one of the men. One of those guns was reported stolen, and the second was unregistered, according to police.

    Three Kalamazoo men were arrested, ages 17, 19 and 20, on various charges and warrants. Police said more charges will be requested to the Prosecutor's Office.
