The Peach Truck brings Georgia's finest throughout West Michigan
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. —
Everyone knows Georgia is all about peaches, but have you ever had the opportunity to try one?
People in Battle Creek got a chance to do that today when The Peach Truck rolled into town carrying not only the delicious fruit, but Georgia pecans as well.
People lined up this morning at the Tractor Supply Company at 6360 B Drive North to grab some. Sunday was The Peach Truck’s first time in Michigan.
"We've had a lot of people ask us, when are you guys going to be coming to Maine? Are you going to be coming to New Hampshire? We've got people in Maryland asking us to come out. It looked like Michigan was a great place to come, and we had plenty of people asking for us to be out here. So we thought, why not? Let's go for it,” Matthew Murray, The Peach Truck team leader, said.
The Peach Truck's team leader says the peaches come from the oldest farm in Georgia, which is 134-years-old. If you'd like to try some, they'll be in Kalamazoo tomorrow. To find out exactly where, head to their website here.
