On a busy day when you need to get somewhere quickly, you'll need to find the most efficient way to get there. What happens if traffic slows you down? Or, an accident clogs the interstate? To get through the chaos you may use a navigation app on your phone. Some come installed and others are downloadable for free or via purchase. But, have you ever asked if what you're using is the best option for you?

To find out more, Newschannel 3 spoke with Chris Sligh, an Uber and Lyft driver in Kalamazoo who uses three apps: Google Maps (The #1 rated navigation app) Waze (#2) and Apple Maps which comes on the iPhone.

"I really think it's a matter of preference," Sligh said. "I'd still probably put Waze first because you're getting live information. Then, I'd put Google and probably Apple in that order.""

Tonight at 5, Newschannel 3's Jason Puhr puts them to the test and shows us that not all navigation apps are created equal.
