LAWRENCE, Mich. — Michigan State Police confirmed that human remains were found Wednesday in a wooded area near Lawrence, Michigan.
Investigators spent the afternoon collecting evidence at the site, which is near Crandall Parkway just north of Interstate 94. The remains were found by an employee of a local business while he was walking in a wooded area on the property.
State police said investigators have confirmed that the remains are human and the discovery includes just one set of remains. They do not know the gender. Investigators spent the afternoon mapping the surrounding area with a drone and conducting dental and forensic testing of the remains.
