KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — UPDATE: Police said a 67-year-old man died after a crash on Ravine Road between Douglas Avenue and Nichols Road on Monday.
Terry Doornbos, 67, Kalamazoo, died after he was rushed to the hospital Monday after a crash.
The Kalamazoo Township Police Department did not release any details about the crash, but said the investigation would be on-going and asked anyone with information about the crash to call 269-567-7523.
Police said Ravine Road has been reopened.
Police with the Kalamazoo Township Police Department anticipated an elongated closure of Ravine Road between Douglas and Nichols Monday afternoon due to a serious traffic crash with "critical injuries," according to a statement from the department.
The department said the roadway will be closed to through traffic for a short period while the incident is investigated. Alternate routes are advised.
It was unclear what caused the accident and how many vehicles were involved.
