Quinn James to make court appearance Wednesday afternoon
KENT COUNTY, Mich. —
The man accused of raping a west Michigan teen is expected to make another court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
The then-boyfriend of Mujey Dumbuya is set to testify against his uncle, Quinn James, at today's hearing.
Newschannel 3 learned 16-year-old Dumbuya suffocated, possibly from strangulation.
Multiple sources have told us that Quinn James, who Dumbuya says raped her last year, is a person of interest in her death.
James worked at East Kentwood High School, where she was a student. Dumbuya was killed just days after a judge decided her rape case against James would move forward and that she would be testifying against him.
