Portage to begin three-month long road project on Monday
PORTAGE, Mich. —
The City of Portage is set to begin a three month long construction project on South Westnedge Avenue from Mall Drive to Romence Road, beginning on June 4.
According to a press release, the section of South Westnedge Avenue will be subject to milling improvements, concrete curb and gutter replacements along with improvements to sidewalks, ramps, water main and storm drainage systems. The intersection at JL Hudson Drive will also receive new traffic lights and be repaved.
Access to driveways will be maintained with exception of select milling and repaving operations. The construction is expected to be completed by or around Sept. 4, weather permitting.
