Police body and dash camera video shows the search and arrest of man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend after he escaped from the Kalamazoo County Jail.

Investigators said Donnovan Lewis scaled two 15-foot fences in September to escape from the jail. Lewis is accused of brutally killing Aniya Mack, his ex-girlfriend.

Investigators said Lewis was captured about 35 minutes after he escaped. Lewis has been charged with escape

The multi-agency manhunt ended near Portage Street and Bryant Street in Kalamazoo, about a few miles from the jail.

Lewis is still awaiting trial in jail on a homicide charge.
