Police search for suspect involved in Kalamazoo Twp. credit union robbery
KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. —
A suspect is on the run after an armed robbery at a Kalamazoo Township credit union.
The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Kalsee Credit Union in the 300 block of West Mosel Avenue around noon Friday.
Police say the suspect entered the credit union, jumped over the counter and forced employees to turn over an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities believe the suspect ran from the scene to a waiting vehicle. The vehicle is described as a maroon or burgundy sedan last seen going westbound on West Mosel Avenue.
The suspect is described as a tall, black male with a medium build wearing dark clothing and a mask.
There were no injuries, and the incident remains under investigation.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and the FBI assisted Kalamazoo Township police at the scene.
