The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has released a sketch of the suspect involved in a credit union robbery on Kalamazoo's northside last weekend and are asking the public for help in identifying the individual.

Police said the suspect entered the Advia Credit Union, located at 706 N. Westnedge Ave. at 10:16 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 and jumped over the counter, demanding money. The suspect then grabbed "a few dollars," according to police, from the teller's counter before fleeing the building on-foot. A K9 track was unable to locate the suspect.

Employees of the credit union described the suspect as a male in his twenties who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue pants with brown boots. He was also wearing blue rubber gloves at the time of the robbery. A sketch of the suspect, courtesy of KDPS officer Caleb Dumond, can be seen below.

Anybody with information on the suspect is asked to call KDPS at (269) 488-9111 or Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
