Police release name of suspect involved in Battle Creek sword stabbing
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. —
The Battle Creek Police Department released the name of the suspect involved in the stabbing from early Friday morning.
Police say Anthony Maurice Whitlock, 35, was arrested on charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Home Invasion and being an habitual offender.
He is being held in the Calhoun County Jail without bond pending an arraignment, which is expected early next week.
Authorities say there is no further update available on the victim. She is still in an area hospital in critical condition.
