Police: Kalamazoo man arrested with replica gun in connection to armed robbery
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
A 37-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery.
A business was robbed in the 2800 block of Portage Street about 8:15 p.m. and employees gave a detailed description of the perpetrator to Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers.
Police set up a perimeter and called in a K-9 unit. An officer saw a man matching the detailed description near Portage Street and Cork Street.
The officer detained the man and said he found a replica firearm and the stolen money. The man was arrested and taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The police are seeking charges of armed robbery against the man.
