Pfizer Career Fair to fill 200 immediate job openings
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Pfizer is holding a career fair on Monday Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo.
The company will be doing on-site interviews to fill jobs that could start in as soon as a few weeks
Ronald Perry, site leader for Kalamazoo Pfizer, said, “We have jobs open now specifically for that project. So, if people go to the career fair they will see we are advertising for jobs specifically to support that project. So, they're there. Engineering jobs, design jobs, are available."
The plant has more than 200 immediate openings that require at least a GED or high school diploma.
Pfizer announced in July a $465 million plant expansion in Portage, which they said would bring 450 good paying jobs to the area over the next few years.
The company hopes to break ground on the new plant this spring.
