Paw Paw Police Department released a sketch of a man suspected of an assault during the Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival.

Police said the teen girl was alone Sept. 9 at the carnival in the 800 block of South Gremps Street at 12:45 a.m. alongside the Wine and Harvest Festival site when the attack happened.

Paw Paw Police Detective Sergeant Eric Rottman said, “There were not many people around. Some of the festival areas had closed at this point and had been closed for some time, so most of the crowd had cleared out of the area.”

The suspect was described as a white man about 30-years-old, 5 feet, 8 inches, a thin build with poor teeth. He was wearing a dark hoodie, holey blue jeans, cowboy boots and a baseball hat.

Rottman said, "At this time we're trying to narrow down a suspect."

He was last seen walking east on South Gremps Street.

Police said the girl was not injured during the attack.

Few details have been released about the attack, but Rottman said some of the information circulating on social media about what happened is not true.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Paw Paw Police Detective Sergeant Eric Rottman at (269) 657-5501.
