Parents of man accused of killing Kalamazoo woman headed to trial
GRAND RAPIDS —
The parents of a man accused of killing and mutilating the body of a Kalamazoo woman are going to trial.
James Chance and Barbara Chance appeared in court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing. They face one count of perjury and one count of accessory after the fact to a homicide.
They're accused of lying to police about what they knew on the day Jared Chance was arrested.
Chance was accused of killing Ashley Young and mutilating her body.
Jared was expected in court Friday.
