One man found dead in house fire in Wayland, Michigan State Police investigating

WAYLAND, Mich. — Emergency officials found one man dead Tuesday after extinguishing a house fire at the Rabbit River Estates on Dale Drive.

Firefighters were called to the home at 9:39 a.m. The man was found in the house about 11:30 a.m.

The mobile home was fully engulfed in fire when the Wayland Fire Department arrived. The department was assisted by the Yankee Springs, Leighton and Hopkins fire departments.

Michigan State Police have joined the investigation of the fire, and a fire marshal is also reviewing the scene.
