Numerous West Michigan schools closing Monday due to subzero temperatures

Subzero temperatures and inclement weather are resulting in several school closures across West Michigan. Several districts, including Kalamazoo, Three Rivers and Bangor, are keeping students at home Monday due to temperatures that will reach as low as 7 below zero throughout the night.

Included in the closings are Allegan Public Schools, Otsego Public Schools, Climax-Scotts Schools and Kalamazoo Public Schools. To see a full list of closings, click here.

Some districts, such as Sturgis Public Schools, cited "extremely cold temperatures" as a reason to close up on Monday, Jan. 21.
