NBC employee found dead behind hotel in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man who worked with NBC Sports was found dead in Benton Harbor on Sunday.

Benton Harbor Township Police said staff at the Holiday Inn Express, 2276 Pipestone Rd., found Neiko Dominic Bernardo, 43, of Oregon, behind the hotel, just after 8 a.m. on Sunday.

According to officers, Bernardo was staying at the hotel while working with NBC Sports at the Senior PGA Tournament being held over the weekend.

Investigators said they found substances that could be drugs in Bernardo's hotel room, but the cause of death in not known.
