A Montcalm County man was arrested on Wednesday after a multi-county investigation into the creation of child porn.

Steven James King, 52, Greenville, was charged Thursday in a Mountcalm County court with two counts of child sexually abusive activity, two counts of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip to their Grand Rapids office about the creation of child porn, which lead them a house in Ionia County and Montcalm County.

Troopers were able to get a search warrant for King’s house and found him hiding in his basement. They said they also found evidence in the house and King was arrested Wednesday.
