Michigan Sen. O'Brien seeks to veil addresses of sexual assault, domestic violence victims

Michigan state Sen. Margaret O'Brien and some of her colleagues are introducing a bill that would protect the private information of domestic assault, stalking and human trafficking victims.

The program would allow victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking to receive a confidential address.

The portage senator said if passed this legislation would protect victims who have made it out of difficult situations and relationships from becoming victims again.

Sen. O'Brien said abusers will go to unbelievable lengths to keep control of their victims.
