Representatives with the city of Marshall, Michigan Department of Transportation and Consumers Energy will welcome locals Monday evening to discuss a joint project set for 2019 that will renovate the Interstate 94 Business Loop.

The open house will be held at the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center, located at 714 US Highway 27 N, with doors opening at 4 p.m. The formal presentation will start promptly at 5 p.m.

The planned project between the several entities is expected to include gas line improvements, water main upgrades, sidewalk improvements and the repaving of Michigan Avenue between Sycamore Street and Marshall Avenue.

Representatives with MDOT will be seeking input for the plan and will also be available to discuss the Michigan Mobility 2045 plan, which is a “collaborative effort to provide public and key stakeholders an opportunity for engaging in establishing transportation priorities for the next 25 years,” according to a press release from MDOT.
