Loose cow apprehended on NB US-131 in Wayland

WAYLAND, Mich. — A loose cow was apprehended after slowing down traffic for nearly an hour and causing a single lane closure of US-131, according to the Michigan State Police Wayland post.

After jumping a fence, the bovine made its way onto the expressway where MSP officers were able to slow traffic and, with the assistance of local farmers, subdue the cow and bring it back to safety.

MSP confirms the cow received some scrapes during the fiasco, but will be okay. No individuals were hurt nor was there any vehicular accident.
