VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A driver had to be extracted from his car after a crash in Van Buren County.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Friday at the intersection of County Road 657 and 66th Avenue in Antwerp Township.

When deputies arrived on scene, they said they found a car on its side up against a power pole, with the driver still inside.

Emergency crews were able to get him out, but the 22-year-old Lawton man had to be taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.

The driver and passenger in the other car were not injured.

Van Buren County deputies said the car that flipped on its side ran a stop sign, and collided with another vehicle in the intersection.
