Kent County Sheriff calls 4 killed a triple murder-suicide, identifies victims

The Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office released a report about the four found shot on Monday.

The Kent County Sheriff Department said Aubrianne Moore, 28, took her three children, Alaina Rau, 2, Cassidy Rodery, 6, and Kyrie Rodery, 8, into the woods behind a house in the 300 block of 19 Mile Road and shot them with a bolt-action hunting rifle.

Investigators said Moore loaded the bodies of the children into her car and took them to her home in the 200 block of 19 Mile Road. She got out of the car and shot herself.

Deputies were sent to the scene where all the bodies were discovered about 4 p.m. Mon. Feb. 18, 2019, and determined there was a second scene.

They found the second scene in the woods on Tues. Feb. 19, 2019.

The Tri-County Area Schools Superintendent Allen Cummins, where Cassidy and Kyrie attended school, notified parents on Tuesday. Cummins said grief counselors would be available to students and staff.
