Kalamazoo restaurants to participate in best vegan plate challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Local chefs at multiple Kalamazoo restaurants will be try to get your vote in the inaugural Kalamazoo Vegan Chef Challenge.
Ending on May 31, this challenge encourages voters to try plant-based dishes all through Kalamazoo, at 21 different restaurants, according to organizers.
For those participating, is gives people a chance to try new dishes, vote, comment, and post their photos of the meals they ordered, according to organizers.
The restaurants include:
- Glofoods
- Comensoli's Italian Bistro
- Bell's Eccentric Cafe
- Water Street Coffee Joint
- Brite Eyes Brewing Co.
- Juicy Leaf
- 600 Kitchen & Bar
- Studio Grill
- Texas Corners Brewing Company
- Centre Street Tap House
- One Well Brewing
- Crow's Nest
- Final Gravity Brewing Company
- University Roadhouse
- Osteria Vegana
- Fourth Coast Cafe
The winning dishes will be announced in June.
The Vegan Chef Challenge is also in held two other cities, Huntsville, Alabama and Lubbock, Texas.
