KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Traffic was blocked on South Burdick Street on Friday after a house fire caused power lines to fall across the road.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers arrived at 6:11 p.m. near Peekstok Drive and South Burdick Street to a fire on the front porch of a home.
Fire crews had the fire out in about 35 minutes and were at the scene for about two hours while Consumers Energy took care of the power line.
No one was injured in the fire.
The cause is under investigation by the fire marshal.
