Kalamazoo deputies surround vehicle suspected of causing several crashes on I-94
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Kalamazoo Sheriff's deputies surrounded a vehicle on Interstate 94 after several reports of erratic driving and minor crashes.
Kalamazoo dispatch received several calls about 5:30 p.m. of a white Ford Explorer driving erratically east on I-94, and the same vehicle causing crashes on the interstate.
Deputies found the vehicle and forced the driver off the road near the 9th Street bridge and surrounded the vehicle when the man wouldn’t get out.
Deputies said the truck was reported stolen from a woman in Hartford Township, Michigan.
The driver was arrested after deputies smashed the window and pulled him out.
Kalamazoo Undersheriff Jim Vandyken said the man was taken to the hospital.
