KALAMAZOO, Mich. — In three separate investigations, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety arrested multiple suspects and recovered multiple firearms.
The department requested tips from the community consistently to help them get crime off the street. They thanked a tip for at least one of the investigations.
All four arrests happened within a two mile radius from each other.
The first arrests happened Feb. 15 around 10 p.m. on Fox Ridge Drive.
While responding to a tip, officers spoke with two subjects in a vehicle. There they found a handgun, ammunition and drugs.
A 30-year-old woman from Grand Rapids was arrested on a warrant, and a 32-year-old man from Rockford was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a handgun and ammo.
The second investigation happened Feb. 17 around 10 p.m. on North Westnedge Avenue.
Officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop and found a handgun on the driver.
After searching the vehicle, several loaded magazines and cocaine were located.
The 23-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm and possession of Cocaine.
The third investigation took place on Fox Ridge Drive again. This time it happened on Feb. 20 around 10:30 p.m.
Officers reported suspected criminal activity, so they conducted a traffic stop.
An occupant in the vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Also, he had a loaded handgun with him in a bag.
The 33-year-old man from Paw Paw was arrested for the warrant and for carrying a concealed weapon.
