GALESBURG, Mich. — Deputies with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office said they were investigating deaths at the Galesburg Village Apartments as a double homicide.
Sheriff Richard Fuller said deputies were called to the apartment complex at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021, after a shots fired call.
Fuller said they had a suspect in custody who was cooperating with police, and there was no threat to the public.
As of Thursday morning, Fuller could not confirm how many people were involved or the nature of the homicide. However, several neighbors told News Channel 3 they heard multiple gunshots.
In a written statement later, investigators said they were investigating the case as a double homicide, and said both victims appeared to have gunshot wounds.
