Jason Dalton to appear in court Friday
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The accused Kalamazoo County mass shooting suspect is due back in court this week.
Jason Dalton is scheduled to appear before a Kalamazoo district court judge Friday for an update on his competency exam.
Dalton is charged with six counts of murder and two counts of assault with intent to murder.
Friday's hearing is to determine whether or not he is fit to stand trial, not his mental state at the time of the shootings.
In an interview with police, Dalton blamed the February 20th killings on the Uber app, saying his phone directed him where to go to shoot people.
