Ice Breaker Festival kicks off in South Haven
SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The 25th annual Ice Breaker Festival is happening right now in South Haven.
The streets are filled with ice sculptures, chili tasting and lots of winter fun.
Spectators can also cheer for their team at the cardboard sled race, and have fun ice skating, curling, or try their hand at flinging frozen fish, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, and shop favorite stores in downtown South Haven.
Along with their tried-and-true events, the Ice Breaker Festival is bringing back the Cardboard Sled Race for the second year. This competition will be held at the Coast Guard Hill on Saturday afternoon.
New this year, the festival is introducing the Frozen Fish Fling! Fling a frozen fish the farthest and win cash. Top 3 flings win trophies and unique bragging rights This event is only 1 hour: from 2-3pm on Saturday, February 3rd near the South Marina.
The Ice Breaker Festival runs February 2nd to the 4th.
