'Opening Soon' signs up at Horrocks Farm Market new Lakeview Square location

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — "Opening Soon" signs went up this week in the windows of the soon-to-be new Horrocks Farm Market location at Lakeview Square Mall.

The former JC Penney store will include expansions of Horrock's meat, beer and wine selections along with a pizzeria, according to a manager.

New and updated equipment will also be added to the redesigned retail space.

Some regular customers of Horrocks, which was founded in 1959, are upset about the move that was announced in 2019.

One customer said he wishes they weren't moving out of downtown Battle Creek because he doesn't want to make the longer drive out to the mall.
