Heroin, Fentanyl found in Battle Creek home, two arrested for selling drugs
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two suspects will face charges after a drug bust in Battle Creek.
The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) and members of Battle Creek police got a search warrant for a home on Convis Street near Capital Avenue in Battle Creek.
For a month, detectives said they had been looking into illegal drug activity at the home.
Then Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, authorities executed the search warrant and found a male suspect trying to drive away from the house. Officers stopped him, and took him into custody.
During the investigation, detectives said they found Heroin and Fentanyl, which is 10 times stronger than Heroin, and a large amount of money hidden in several locations inside the house.
Both the male suspect and a female suspect were arrested for selling illegal drugs. They were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail and are facing charges.
