    Two are in custody but police are still looking for two other teens suspected in the shooting death of a 17-year-old in a shopping mall parking lot.

    James Irvin King died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, after he was shot in the parking lot of the town and country Shopping Center on Kalamazoo Avenue S.E. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Police were called to the parking lot just before 5 p.m.; emergency medical teams also responded, but King died at the scene.

    The Kent Count medical examiner on Monday ruled the death a homicide.

    The two men in custody, Ahmed Adel Hasan, 17, and Alanah Faith Claflin-Gallagos, 18, have both been charged with open murder, assault with intent to rob while armed and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

    Hasan was taken into custody Sunday, and arraigned on the charges Tuesday. Claflin-Gallagos was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

    Investigators are also seeking two other teens, both age 17, on the same three charges: Israel Valdez and Kayleb Douglas Sims.
