Garage fire in Portage does $80k in damage

PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Investigators are working to learn what caused a garage fire in Portage Tuesday night.

It happened in the 6500 block of Monticello.

Crews arriving on scene found heavy smoke and flames, which forced them to fight the fire from the outside.

It was put out a half hour later and caused about $80,000 in damage.
